What are Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs)

PGRs are molecules that affect plant development and are usually active at very low concentrations. There is the number of natural regulators, produced by the plants themselves, as well as synthetic regulators. Those found naturally in plants are called plant growth hormones.

PGRs are divided into five main plant hormones: Auxin, Gibberellin, Cytokinin, Ethylene, and Abscisic acid. With the deep research of plant physiology over the last century, scientists have found more substances that can regulate plants’ growth. These hormones can affect plant growth, either jointly or independently.

Features

Plant growth regulators mainly have the following characteristics in application:

  1. It has a wide range of functions and many application fields;
  2. The effect is remarkable, the residual poison is less, the use of low-concentration plant growth regulators can play an important role in regulating plant growth, development, and metabolism;
  3. Double regulation of the external shape and internal physiological processes of plants;
  4. Some problems that are difficult to solve by cultivation techniques can be solved by using plant growth regulators, such as breaking dormancy, adjusting sex, promoting flowering, chemical pruning, preventing shedding, promoting rooting, enhancing resistance, etc.

Plant Growth Regulators Supplier

Dora Agri Supply has specialized in the development and sale of natural and chemical PGRs in agriculture for over 18 years. We developed the Plant Growth Hormones Series to help growers improve crop yields and quality. By stimulating crop size, color, shape, texture, harvest period, and shelf life.

Cautions

  1. Make it clear that plant growth regulators are not nutrients, and can not replace fertilizer. Only water, and fertilizer management, will be effective.
  2. Correctly master the concentration and dosage of the hormones, first determine the dosage, then determine the concentration. The concentration should not be too large, otherwise, it is easy to produce drug damage.
