Paecilomyces Lilacinus Products

Paecilomyces lilacinus is an endoparasitic fungus. It is an important natural enemy of some plant-parasitic nematodes. It can parasitize eggs and infect larvae and females. Reduce the harm caused by plant nematodes such as cyst nematodes and stem nematodes.

Paecilomyces lilacinus is an endoparasitic fungus. It is an important natural enemy of some plant-parasitic nematodes. It can parasitize eggs and infect larvae and females. Reduce the harm caused by plant nematodes such as cyst nematodes and stem nematodes.

Paecilomyces lilacinus products used in overcoming nematodes problem in a natural way, it can also be used in soil improvement, root zone protection helps defend the root-knot and other diseases caused by nematodes.

In large-scale agricultural production, growers are often plagued by nematode problems. Common chemical nematicides do not only damage the soil structure, and the nematodes also develop resistance.

However, nematodes will have no measures to deal with the natural microorganism – Paecilomyces lilacinus, they just can only be forgotten in the soil forever.

paecilomyces lilacinus uses

P.lilacinus products are recognized as bioinsecticide, biocontrol microbial fertilizers, root growth protectors, and soil improvement agents.

Application Method: Seed soaking, soil mixing, root irrigation, drip irrigation(120 mesh), or root drench.

P.lilacinus is available for many kinds of crops susceptible to nematode infection, like tomato, cucumber, peanut, rice, maize vegetables, and fruit trees.

Mode of Action

The parasitic mechanism of P.lilacinus to plant nematodes is the result of the combined action of mechanical pressure on mycelium and various enzymes secreted by hypha. (Why use P.lilacinus to control nematodes)

After Paecilomyces lilacinus contacts with the cysts or eggs of the nematode, the top of the hyphae becomes thicker, forming an infecting nail, and the infecting nail secretes extracellular substances (ECM) or viscous substances. The mechanical pressure and secretion of the infected nail Under the combined action of substances, the infestation nail invades the nematode egg shell.

The extracellular substance (ECM) contains the proteinase P23, whose proteolytic activity causes degradation of the egg shell. Root-knot nematodes and cysts nematode egg shells are composed of a yolk layer, a chitin layer, and a lipid layer. The main components are chitin and protein. Therefore, chitinase and proteinase play an important role in the infection process.

Application Paecilomyces Lilacinus

1. P.lilacinus can produce abundant derivatives, similar to indole acetic acid, which can promote the growth of plant roots and plants. Therefore, the application of Paecilomyces lilacinus in crops’ roots can not only significantly inhibit nematode infestation, but also promote vegetative organs. It also promotes the germination and growth of seeds.

2. It can produce abundant chitinase. Chitinase can degrade chitin. It can promote the hatching of nematode eggs and increase the parasitic rate of paecilomyces to nematodes.

3. P.lilacinus can also promote the decomposition of many chemical polymers (such as pesticides, tannery wastewater, etc.), which proves that this product has certain environmental protection effects.

How to Use Paecilomyces Lilacinus Products

Soil application: For one hectare, mix about 5-7KGS of P.lilacinus products with 300 KGS of compost, (if needed) keep the mixture under shade( in deep soil) with sufficient moisture content (30%) for one week time.

Seed treatment: Standard wet treatment with 5G~10G Dora P.lilacinus per kg of seeds.

Seedling application: Use a solution of 5~10G/L to dip seedlings before planting. There are no harmful side effects caused by overdosage.

Drip irrigation: Ensure 5-10G P.lilacinus powder per cubic decimeter.

Field Trial Paecilomyces Lilacinus Products

1. On Banana Seedling

1. Treated with paecilomyces lilacinus, banana roots have no root-knot, robust and healthy root system, strong ability of fertility absorption.

Not treated with Dora paecilomyces lilacinus, banana roots have the diseases caused by nematodes, the root system is damaged.

2. On Potato Field

Paecilomyces lilacinus products used on potato, it has a very good effect on reducing population of nematodes, stimulating a healthy root system to develop, increasing potato yields & quality.
